The prayer shawl or tallit, are  worn by men and women. The Tallit serves as  a distinct purpose in prayer. Prayer and Praise should be central in the life of any believer.

Prayer

The prayer appeal to the LORD to help us love His word  also to keep us from the power of the evil within us that pushes us into sin, pride, perversity and temptation.

Blessed art Thou, LORD our God, King of the universe, who removes sleep from my eyes and slumber from my eyelids. Our Father who art in Heaven, Holy is your name”. Let’s look into the elements of Prayer.  

Several years ago I was got a Prayer Shaw from Jerusalem. I feel so much closer to God when I wear it  because I’m  wrapped in His word.  The act of putting them on places a person in an attitude of prayer.  

Prayer Shawl

The tallit became a religious garment for prayer;  its later meaning of prayer shawl.  The regular full size Prayer Shaw also has the same four corners with the 8 strings and each having 5 knots. You can be absolutely certain that, Yeshua Jesus always wore the Tiztzith on his garments and on his Prayer Shaw.  Malachi, the prophet for tells that the Messiah will have healing in the corners of his prayer Shawl.  Teaching on the Prayer Shaw of Jesus, was is passed down from Adam’s day.  The Prayer Shawl also called the tallit has  four corners of the bottom has all of the Names of God woven in the fringes .  The Prayer Shaw reminds me Jesus said, I am with you always.

God instructed His people to remind themselves of His commandments And keep holy by placing a fringe on each corner of their garments.

Deuteronomy 22:12 You shall make tassels on the four corners of the clothing with which you cover yourself.  we have a tangible reminder of an intangible, invisible God.

Woman

In Luke 8: 43-48 A woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border (hem)of His garment.

43And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, 44Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

 45And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

 46And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

 47And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

 48And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Focus on the importance of prayer, and of approaching the King of the Universe.  “ It is very hard to forget about God and His love, peace, comfort, or His presence when you are wearing the Tallit Prayer Shaw.
